Quartz, a Little Sky in Stone
Quartz draws the eye with a mostly colourless appearance, softened by cloudy white patches and touches that look grey. Transparent passages sit alongside more translucent areas, while bright white reflections bring little accents of brightness to the glossy surfaces.
Rounded, irregular outlines range from oval to oblong, giving the quartz its pebble-like character. The surfaces look smooth, yet fine visible lines and misty patches keep them from seeming perfectly uniform. There is a gentle contrast here: a clear glimpse, then a soft veil.
Cloudy patches invite a tiny daydream: pale mists drifting through a clear sky, leaving bright spaces between them.
