A clear curve with a cloudy heart
Clear areas and soft white clouds give this Quartz its luminous character. Fine inner lines add detail beneath the smooth surface, while broad highlights follow the rounded outline. Some places let the light pass through more freely; others hold it in a gentler, hazier way.
That meeting of brightness and cloud is part of the pleasure. Look into a clearer area, then let your eye follow a pale line towards a quieter patch. The stone can suggest a little window filled with drifting shapes, an imagined scene whose charm comes from the details within rather than a perfectly empty transparency.
