Onyx in Cream and Amber
White and cream sweep through this onyx spice hand grinder, threaded with golden-yellow, amber and brown bands. The glossy curves give those irregular layers a flowing rhythm. A wide, thick-rimmed mortar brings a generous rounded shape, while the elongated pestle offers a simpler silhouette with softly rounded ends.
There is something of a honey-coloured landscape in these curves, with pale stretches opening between darker ribbons. Bright highlights follow the smooth surfaces, bringing a little warmth to the simple pleasure of preparing herbs and spices. Best used for dry herbs, spices, and seeds.
