Mookaite Jasper: A Heart in Cream and Gold
Broad creamy-white areas meet reddish-brown in this mookaite jasper heart, with mustard-yellow borders and patches warming the transitions. Orange-brown shading adds another note to the palette, while fine speckling gives the darker areas a delicate grain. Together, the colours suggest an imagined meadow seen in fragments: pale paths, golden grasses and rich earth.
Two rounded lobes and a shallow notch give the heart its gentle outline, tapering towards a point. Across the smooth, glossy surface, bright curved highlights offer a contrast to the earthy colours.
