A Little Blue Stillness
The Labradorite Obelisk Water Bottle draws the eye to an upright dark point, where a blue patch breaks through grey-brown tones. Its clear cylindrical outline and silver-coloured cap and base create a simple frame, leaving the stone’s contrast of light and dark at the centre.
Labradorite’s coloured flashes have a name: labradorescence. Microscopic layers of feldspar interact with light to produce them. There is something quietly captivating about that meeting of hidden structure and visible colour.
Imagine cobalt mountains above a still blue lake, a thin amber horizon glowing beyond a dark wooded shore. The stone’s blue accent becomes a glimpse of that lake, caught between shadowed slopes.
