Emerald: A Canopy of Green
Green and blue-green mingle with grey in these emerald stones, while dark grey to nearly black patches and bands give the colour an uneven, lively rhythm. Pale highlights catch the curved surfaces. Smooth-looking areas sit beside small patches of visible unevenness.
Their irregular, rounded outlines range from roughly triangular to rounded rectangular. The palette suggests an imagined canopy of blue-green leaves crossed by dark branches. In that little world, grey becomes a break in the foliage, and the bands trace wandering paths through the green.
