Emerald’s Stony Garden
Emerald has a rugged, mottled character here, with grey, white and deep charcoal interrupted by pale green patches. The coarse, uneven surfaces break into angular faces, crossed by dark lines and dotted with small reflective areas. Light catches those little faces brightly, while the deeper recesses remain shadowed—a lively contrast that makes the rough contours worth a closer look.
Tall, tapering outlines contrast with rounded, block-like forms and broad, low shapes. Their outlines suggest an imagined terraced garden: green glimpses between stony ledges, with light finding the exposed edges. Against this mostly cool palette, a small rust-coloured patch adds a warmer accent, like a single autumn leaf caught on a ledge.
