Chalcedony Pendant, A Shoreline of Light

The nested curves draw attention inward, giving the pale surface a rhythm of its own.
Its outline takes an unexpected turn: a broad, rounded lower edge rises towards an uneven, notched top, with the loop at the narrower end. There is something of an imagined island in this shape, its curved bands like shorelines seen from above.
