Calcite Wing, A Feather of Yellow Light
Yellow and cream mingle across this calcite wing pendant, with cloudy patches softening the brighter colour. Its glossy face catches crisp white highlights, while curved and angled grooves trace a feather-like pattern. There is a lovely contrast between the flowing colour and those defined lines: the cream wanders across the face, while the grooves give the wing its direction.
Broad at the upper end, the outline narrows towards a rounded point, with a scalloped lower edge adding an undulating rhythm. In an imagined garden, it could be a bright feather caught beneath an arch of leaves, yellow against the shaded green. The pendant’s own shape carries that suggestion of flight, not through a sharp tip, but through the gentle taper and the last rounded curve.
