Aquamarine’s Softly Clouded Blue
Pale blue slips into blue-green and grey in this aquamarine, with cloudy white and cream-coloured patches softening the palette. Bright white reflections catch on the glossy surfaces, while mottled areas, streaks and fine lines give the colour its varied character. The pebble-like shapes have rounded, irregular outlines and gently softened edges.
These colours invite a small imaginary cavern, its blue-green walls washed with pale light. Cloudy patches become banks of mist, while the fine lines suggest narrow paths through the cavern, disappearing around a creamy-white bend.
