A spiral of warmth and shadow
The Ammonite pendant draws the eye inward through curved sections of amber colour and dark brown, each outlined by cream-coloured dividing lines. Pale grey patches and muted olive-grey areas soften the warmer tones. Its rounded, asymmetrical outline narrows into a tapering upper extension, giving the tightly gathered spiral a distinctive, slightly uneven silhouette.
Light catches the narrow silver-coloured border and the small attachment above, with gentler highlights scattered across the pale interior. Smooth-looking brown areas sit beside grainy, uneven patches and dark recesses: a pattern with contrasts to explore. Seen imaginatively, the face could be a tiny cove viewed from above, its cream lines winding between sheltered pools of colour until they curl together at the centre.
