Amethyst’s Lavender Dolphin Tail
This amethyst pendant takes the shape of a dolphin tail, with two curved lobes spreading from a narrower upper section. Pale lavender-purple mingles with cloudy white and nearly colourless patches, while bright highlights catch on its smooth, glossy-looking surface.
Amethyst’s name comes from the Greek amethystos, recalling an old belief connected with sobriety. Here, that small piece of language history meets a playful shape: a sea creature’s fleeting gesture, held in lavender rather than water.
Picture a dolphin slipping below an imagined lilac sea, leaving only the arc of its tail above the surface. Fine pale lines and cloudy patterns within the translucent pendant lend that little scene a hazy depth, framed by the tail’s scalloped edges.
