Agate Slice in Blue and Ember
Deep navy-blue shades draw you into this agate slice, darkening almost to black before opening into lighter blue waves. Reddish-orange and brown bands gather around irregular recesses, bordered with cream. Those warm colours against the dark face create a vivid contrast, like ember-lit coves in an imagined night sea.
The tall, asymmetrical outline has its own wandering rhythm: scalloped edges, a deep indentation, and a narrower end. Bright reflections skim the smooth, glossy-looking face, while pale grey and white patches break up the darkness. Along the mottled tan-brown outer edge, the texture turns rough and granular. Within the recesses, clustered angular surfaces catch tiny points of light—sharp little answers to the flowing bands.
