✨ What makes Rhyolite special?
- It shares its chemistry with Granite: both are felsic rocks rich in silica, but Rhyolite cools at or near the surface before large crystals can fully develop.
- Its patterns preserve moving lava: viscous molten rock may stretch contrasting glassy and crystalline material into waves, ribbons and folded bands.
- Its circles can be crystal fireworks: spherulites form as radiating Quartz–Feldspar growth spreads through volcanic glass during cooling and devitrification.
